"I usually do not post or complain but I was actually hurt by my experience today. I was so so excited to visit Haven Flower Farm that I hadn’t been to yet, but I have heard so many good reviews, and we have been getting ready for this visit for a week. Their page on Facebook is well done, very inviting, and seems family oriented being a family run business, especially the you-pick package which is what drew us here(bubbles, cornhole, free polaroid, which we weren’t offered), but what they fail to mention is they apparently have a rule where they only want or “encourage” two kids per adult. We brought our group of 6 kids and 2 adults out to the flower farm to purchase flowers and take pictures (which is the second time for my friend I was with because she had such a great first experience a week prior) and we were very rudely lectured before we even left the flower cottage about being respectful of others and if we couldn’t hear their music then we were being too loud. We were the only ones out on the property by this point, so I was very confused and hurt by the hostility of the woman in the cottage, the young man in there was very polite, soft spoken, and helped us figure out pricing. Our kids were excited but being respectful, and they were well behaved the whole time, but at that point we already felt uncomfortable and like we had done something wrong by being there today. I support local and small businesses, I wanted so badly to enjoy this experience, but all and all we left very disappointed by how we were treated, and we still purchased our flowers because we loved the opportunity to make those memories just wished it was handled differently. I’ve worked in customer service for 15 years and if I treated ANYONE how we were treated today, I’d be out of a job."
