Travelodge by Wyndham Williamsburg Colonial Area

"Stayed here after we found roaches in our room in another hotel Down the Road (Amer inn) Owner was there when we got there which was super surprising but awesome to see. We were traveling with our hound dog and were struggling to find a hotel that would allow us to bring her. But this is a pet friendly hotel which was a life saver! The rooms are modest but very clean and smelled fantastic. We kept running into other hotels smelling like smoke, it was nice to walk in on a clean smelling room. It does look like there are many rooms being updated though, hopefully they are able to get them up and going soon. SUPER affordable we stayed for a week and she gave us a great weekly rate, just over 400 for the week. the hotel itself is just about 30 minutes from Hampton, but also about 15 minutes from the beach, walmart is about 5 minutes up the road. Plenty of food places around. Overall the location is amazing. Not much of a drive to any place you could want to go. Theres playgrounds about 4 mins down the road as well. The kids loved playing outside, the grounds being clean and low cut grass was like a dream for them. Will be visiting again soon on our next trip to williamsburg!"

"The website is very deceptive. One of the reasons that I selected this hotel was for the pool and breakfast. The pool was not operational and the breakfast did not exist. With 100 degree temperature we were looking forward to a dip in the pool. There weren’t any face cloths and the garage by the elevator stunk. We will never stay there again."

"It's definitely a very rundown location. The floors in the room we stayed in had a non working fridge. The floor was sticky/almost wet all over the room. The phone was disconnected and we had to go down to the office to get a remote for the TV. Plus the clientele was unsavory, and made the location feel really unsafe."

"Rooms were clean, staff is very helpful, and everything works well. It's a bit run down but you get what you pay for. **There is no breakfast** despite whatever the booking company or site description says. According to the desk they haven't had breakfast for 3 years so keep that in mind when planning your mornings."

"This hotel needs a lot of TLC of just the basics and air freshner for rooms since carpet and chairs are outdated and smell some. For the price it's "you get what you pay for". Don't be fooled by website pictures. No bfast, pool out of order. The lobby is full of kids stuff. Staff was just ok nothing out of the ordinary. Outside foot traffic seems a little odd but figured out thier are Apts behind parking lot and folks walk to store up the street. If your just there to sleep and shower it serves the purpose."
