"Absolutely a nightmare- rude incompetent staff, unsanitary rooms, and dangerous. After transitioning from hospital, my mother was placed in a room with trash on the floor, chipped and worn furniture, big patched spots on the wall- the most depressing room you can imagine. I tried to ask questions from nurse who came to do vitals, was told she was new and didn't know any answers. After waiting for a half hour, my husband went to ask if someone was going to come talk to us, he was met with extreme rudeness. When the nurse finally came in she had a doctor on a tablet and they were discussing adding one medication that would have been very dangerous given my mothers medical condition. The nurse argued with me that my mother was given the medication in the hospital- which was not true. I asked to speak to the doctor and was told no. We decided to take my mother home instead of leaving her there in that disgusting room fearing she was in danger of receiving the wrong medication. We asked for a wheel chair to take her to the exit way on the other side of the building and again we were told no."

"I'm Not going to leave this alone. My mother was transferred from Leigh to this facility. It was a nightmare from the beginning. My mother has macular degeneration and is legally blind. They don't provide phones. Her first night she was left laying in a soiled bed All night. I called her the next morning and she was hysterical. We got her calmed down and I bought her a cell phone. Set the speed dial and marked what she needed to press. Everytime I came back her cell phone was on the other side of the room. Right now she Can't walk. The second time she was hysterical was being forced to lay in a soiled bed for hours, again. She said they would either Ignore the call button, or come in and Move it so she couldn't reach it, then tell her they'd be right back, only not to come. Saturday night, same thing. She INSISTED on leaving, even though she was expected to be there for a few more weeks, atleast. Skipped her meds a few times, too. These people care about their Profit and that's It. These Human Beings in their care are seen as less than."

"I've recently visited this facility and I fell in love with how friendly the staff were to me. As soon as you walk through the doors you're instantly greeted with warm welcomes. The staff tends to their residents in a timely manner and i feel like my loved one is safe in their care. I would highly recommend this facility to others, i'd also like to mention their wonderful activities department is always on the floors helping the nurse and keeping the residents occupied. They encourage the visitors to come in and join the festivities with their loved ones and the residents get really excited about that. Overall your experience at Bayside will be nothing short of amazing."

"My mother's care was ok. They were friendly but short staff. What upset me was after, she received a bill for over 700.00. I called and it was determined she was billed in error for private care. She never had private care. Her insurance paid in full for her stay. I continue to get bills and my mom was sent to collection for the pharmacy bill. I called every month and was told to send the bill back with a note attach, that we had to wait for Corporate to take care of it on their end. Each time I got a bill, I called and I was told to disregard them. We are still receiving the bill and now I cannot get anyone to return my call at all."

"Poor communication, only 2 staff members on the weekend. Staff members very nice but over worked because of shortage. Medicines delivered late if at all on the weekends. Roaches in the rooms. Air conditioner leaked the entire time of stay. Rehab was good. You must have a friend or family member there during the weekend. Patient was on the floor for an hour before discovered."
