"I did a spin training with Prevailance Aerospace. This is my second training with them, the first one was UPRT. I am really satisfied with instructor, airplane, course progress, ground lesson, and flight lesson. Instructor was really friendly and tailored the lesson to each students, making the most outcome from the limited amount of time. "I had a fantastic experience at Prevailance Aerospace. From the moment I first called to schedule training, I thought they were super professionals that truly cared about making the training a top-notch experience. Despite having a full schedule, they quickly found a training slot for me. Vanessa and Mark clearly explained how to prepare for the training and what to expect. Mark (the chief pilot) patiently and professionally took me through more than an hour of classroom training with plenty of examples, in depth explanations and videos to explain the physics of the flights and maneuvers. He willingly and patiently answered all my questions - even when I sometimes "lost the SA". When it was time to go fly, I was extremely impressed with the Extra 300 that included three cameras to record my experience. It is a modern, high-performance airplane that is perfectly suited for spin recovery training. We climbed to five thousand feet and began a sequence of stalls and recoveries. Mark demonstrated each one and then had me fly them. The key here is he allowed me to make mistakes and then offered suggestions on how to improve my recoveries. We then climbed to over eight thousand feet to work on spins. This was the best part of the training because it gave us plenty of altitude to get into a fully developed spin but still work through the recovery techniques safely. Multiple spins in each direction followed - and this is important - Mark allowed me to try the wrong recovery technique and see the result (typically a tighter spin). We then did an inverted spin and a steep spiral and executed the proper recovery. Because this was part of my effort to become a flight instructor, Mark purposely explained lots of the things students typically do that can cause unusual attitudes or upsets. The cherry on top was being met on the ground by the CEO (Vanessa) who helped me out of my parachute and wanted my immediate feedback. Clearly this is an organization that is totally committed to making pilots safer! This training was simply fantastic - perhaps the best I have ever had in a light airplane. I would highly recommend it to anyone."
