Visitor parking is available in various lots on University Boulevard, with parking not permitted along the street. The Arboretum was made possible through collaboration with the Harrisonburg Urban Wood Group, JMU Design Build Dukes, and dedicated staff. The grounds are open to the public from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year. The Arboretum features a unique StoryWalk Project, created by JMU students, which can be found in the Family Garden area. Explore the beautiful gardens, learn about local flora and fauna, and enjoy a peaceful retreat in nature at the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
