Harrison Opera House
β OpenLocated at 160 West Virginia Beach Boulevard in Norfolk, Virginia, the Harrison Opera House is a historic venue that was once a World War II USO theater. Renovated in 1993, the opera house boasts 1,632 seats and a luxurious ambiance, complete with glittering chandeliers, sweeping staircases, and bistro tables where guests can enjoy champagne and bask in the glamour. The interior of the opera house features a three-story grand lobby with floor-to-ceiling windows, a cantilevered balcony lobby, and excellent acoustics. Box seating on the mezzanine and balcony levels further enhance the theater's opulent interior. The Virginia Opera, founded in 1974 by Edythe C. Harrison, serves as the resident company of the Harrison Opera House, producing four annual productions.
