Central Virginia Legal Aid
Central Virginia Legal Aid (CVLAS) is a non-profit organization located at 229 North Sycamore Street in Petersburg, Virginia. Since 1971, CVLAS has been dedicated to providing free civil legal services to low-income individuals in need and offering preventative legal education in the community. With the help of compassionate attorneys and pro bono volunteers, CVLAS ensures that justice is accessible to all, regardless of financial means. Through outreach, legal education, and pro se assistance, CVLAS distributes over 11,500 materials to those in need. Additionally, they offer 75 free self-help documents for download on their website. With offices in Richmond, Charlottesville, and Petersburg, CVLAS is committed to defending the rights of those who cannot defend themselves.
