Blue Ridge Wildlife Center
The Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, located at 106 Island Farm Lane in Boyce, Virginia, is dedicated to protecting and conserving native wildlife through a combination of veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, public education, professional training, and research. As a nonprofit organization, volunteers play a crucial role in helping with various tasks such as education, rehabilitation, wildlife transportation, construction, and maintenance. With the support of volunteers, the center is able to care for over 3,600 animals each year, educate over 10,000 people through programs, and care for their animal ambassadors. Presentations at the center may take place inside or outside enclosures, depending on the comfort and training of the animals.
