Montview Building-Liberty University
Located at 1410 Regents Parkway in Lynchburg, Virginia, the Montview Building at Liberty University is a spacious new addition to campus designed to enhance student life. The Montview Student Union features meeting rooms for student groups, a bowling alley, game rooms, open lounge areas, a large ballroom, and six new eateries that are new not only to the university but also to the Lynchburg community. The 168,000-square-foot building offers a stunning view of the new academic commons and is perfect for hosting a variety of campus events on its massive front steps and vast lawn. Fun fact: Montview was the name of U.S. Senator Carter Glass' estate, which operated as a dairy farm on the land where Liberty's campus now stands. The property was purchased in the 1970s, and Glass' historic home, Montview Mansion, still stands near the Hancock Welcome Center, offering tours to university guests. The new 120,000-square-foot Reber-Thomas Dining Center also opened at the start of the fall semester, providing more food options for the growing campus population. Additionally, Liberty University offers a warm and welcoming campus tour experience that feels like family from the very beginning.
