Dudley Digges House, circa 1760

This home belonged to Dudley Digges, a prominent figure in Virginia history who served in the Virginia Assembly and was captured by the British during the Revolutionary War. The house was damaged during the fighting at Yorktown, leading Digges to move to Williamsburg where he passed away in 1790. Somerwell House
