Black entrepreneurship resources in Washington, Virginia

The National Black Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting African American businesses and entrepreneurs. Located in Washington, D.C., the chamber provides resources, networking opportunities, and advocacy for black-owned businesses in the United States. With a focus on economic empowerment and business development, the National Black Chamber of Commerce plays a crucial role in advancing the interests of the black business community.

The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. is affectionately known as the “National Voice of Black Businesses” and is located in Washington, D.C. They provide visionary leadership and advocacy for economic empowerment, supporting a network of African American Chambers of Commerce and business organizations. Through partnerships with organizations like Google, Chase for Business, Black Enterprise, and Amazon, they offer resources and initiatives to help Black business owners grow and succeed. USBC Media showcases diverse content highlighting Black storytelling and experiences, while the ByBlack.us Platform provides a directory and certification for Black-owned businesses. With over 145 chambers of commerce in 42 states, the USBC Chamber Network represents approximately 326,000 Black businesses nationwide. Their annual BLACKprint publication lays out principles for policymakers and decision makers to support Black-owned businesses, and the USBC CEDC provides information on the COVID-19 response and the CARES Act.
