Abingdon is home to a unique craft beverage scene and is the starting point for the Virginia Creeper Trail, a popular 34.3-mile rail-to-recreation trail that winds through scenic landscapes. Visitors can also enjoy the historic Barter Theatre, known as the State Theatre of Virginia, which has been entertaining audiences since 1933.
