As the first in Virginia to provide upright MRI imaging, they are able to offer patients and physicians the ability to see pathology in various positions such as standing, sitting, flexion and extension, rotation, and lateral bending. This technology allows for a more accurate diagnosis and quicker recovery time for patients. The multi-positional MRI scanner provides a more comfortable experience for patients, especially for those who may feel claustrophobic in traditional scanners. Patients can even watch a 42" flat-screen TV during the scan.
