This historic institution, built in 1971 by owner Jack Giguere, has been a beloved gathering place for both locals and visitors alike. The centerpiece of Charity's is the exquisite bar, which was originally constructed in France in 1887 and shipped to the U.S. for an Italian immigrant named Joe Verzi. Made entirely of cherry wood with handrails and pillars of Italian marble, this bar has a rich history dating back to the mining and lumbering boomtown of Davis, West Virginia. In addition to the beautiful bar, Charity's offers a variety of delicious food and drinks for patrons to enjoy.
