Memory Grove Park
β OpenMemory Grove Park, located at 300 North Canyon Road in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a historical park and tourist attraction with a rich and meaningful past. Established in response to the issues of urbanization in the early 1900s, the park was officially designated as a memorial to America's fallen military men in 1924. The park features several memorials, including the Pagoda, Harbor of Beauty, footbridge, and granite shaft erected by the 145th Field Artillery. One of the most striking features of the park is the Meditation Chapel, built in 1948 as a memorial to Utah sons who died in World War II. Made of Georgian marble with a copper roof and sculpted bronze doors, the chapel resembles a Greek temple and serves as a beautiful tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Surrounding the chapel are markers holding the names of men whose bodies were never recovered from the war.
