Tiger-Rock Martial Arts of Leander

"Had our kiddo come here for a few months. Everyone is super nice and my kid enjoyed it. We pulled him out because he was busy with other extracurriculars. That being said there are couple of things that were frustrating. They do require a 60 day cancelation notice, which ultimately wasn't an issue for us as we knew when we wanted to pull our kiddo out. Also, they make you pay every time your child tests for the next belt, which makes me feel like I'm paying for the belt instead of him earning it. In the end, if these two things don't bother you, I would recommend this place."

"Me. and Mrs. Looney are amazing teachers. The facility is spacious and the after school program is awesome. Definitely helps with a busy schedule. My kids have learned so much from Tiger Rock. They are great teachers and my kids have learned so much about respect and learning to defend themselves. Has built confidence in my youngest son and now he goes out and conquers the world with pride. I also love the adult classes just for adults. It’s great they have these classes. So much support and with my personal difficulties and trying many other places this is the number one spot for me. They don’t discourage you from trying to do change. It’s all positive and I love the attitudes that the facility has. All positive vibes for me and my family!"

"My son started attending Tiger Rock Leander 3X a week for about a year. When he started school we enrolled him in the after school care program. He gets picked up from school, given his lesson, a snack and play time. With summer starting, we enrolled him in their summer camp program. I cannot begin to express how grateful our family feels to have found Tiger Rock in Leander. Mr. and Mrs. Looney are amazing at what they do. They have taught my son not only martial arts skills but teamwork, inclusion, discipline and so many other things. They keep him active and always engaged while attending camp. One of the most important things for me is feeling that my son is safe while away from us. The Looney’s and their staff give me this piece of mind. And the staff….so great as well! All the kids get along and are respectful no matter the age. During testing I can always count on the older kids cheering on my son and calling out his name to encourage him. It’s a great environment and we cannot feel anymore pleased with being part of the Tiger Rock Leander family."

"Tiger Rock is AMAZING! My ADHD child has been attending after school care and summer camp with the Looney’s for several years. Staff is amazing with my child and all children they teach. My child has learned self discipline, self defense and major self esteem! I have been attending Adult classes myself and can’t think of a better stress reliever."

"My son absolutely loves Tiger Rock - Leander. He has been attending their afterschool program for the past few years. He also participates in their summer/holiday camp programs. The Looney's are wonderful and have honest, open communication. When we are not sure if my son is ready to test for the next belt level, they always provide support and assurance. We initially registered because his previous afterschool program decided not to pick up from his elementary school. A friend recommended Tiger Rock...I wish we would have found/registered for the program sooner."
