Fountainwood Observatory
Located on Smith Creek Road in Georgetown, Texas, the Fountainwood Observatory is an institution affiliated with Southwestern University. As part of the university's 2021β2026 Tactical Plan, the observatory offers a unique opportunity for students and the public to explore the wonders of the universe through research and educational programs. The observatory is currently undergoing renovations, but normally houses a research-quality reflecting telescope donated by local engineer and amateur astronomer Max Allen.
