The Dallas Swing Dance Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and educating the public in the art of Swing dancing from the early 20th century. Located at 3630 Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, Texas, the society offers dances most Saturdays throughout the year, as well as lessons, workshops, and special events. Founded in 1998, the society was created by a group of passionate swing dancers who wanted to share their love of dance with others. With a focus on providing a safe and inclusive environment for dancers of all ages, the Dallas Swing Dance Society aims to promote interest in swing dancing, teach the history and music of the dance, and hold events with danceable music on a comfortable dance floor. The society's board of directors consists of individuals from various professions, age groups, dance backgrounds, and social groups to ensure the growth and prosperity of the swing dance community in Dallas.
