Southwest Research Institute, Electrified Powertrain
β OpenSouthwest Research Institute's Electrified Powertrain division is located at 9800 West Commerce Street in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The institute's engineers have recently been awarded a $6.4 million grant to explore cognitive electronic warfare algorithms. They have also taken a key role in a $25.5 million space mobility and logistics prototyping project. Additionally, SwRI leads projects to observe total solar eclipses and develops conversion surfaces for analyzing low-energy particles in space. The institute has also been awarded a $2 million NASA grant to further develop instruments for measuring lunar regolith.
