Lowry Woods Apartments Clubhouse
The Lowry Woods Apartments Clubhouse is a school age children's enrichment program located at 1600 Oakland Street in Denton, Texas. The program offers a fun learning environment for children between the ages of 3 and 5, who are enrolled in TWU students. The Clubhouse follows the Denton ISD school schedule and offers a variety of activities such as games, community service projects, cooking, sports, arts/crafts, fitness activities, music, math and science enrichment activities, storytelling, reading, skating, bowling, swimming, field trips, and more. The Clubhouse business office is located in the University Housing office on the first floor of Mary's Hall in Parliament Village, with operating hours from 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Priority placement deadlines are in July for fall and in March for summer sessions. The program also offers special day care services and transportation from Denton elementary schools. Families must pay a non-refundable enrollment fee and tuition fees, and complete a registration packet for each child attending. The Clubhouse is dedicated to providing a safe and enriching environment for children to learn and grow.
Live Oak Community Club House
The Live Oak Community Club House is a vibrant institution located at 7901 Shin Oak Drive in Live Oak, Texas, United States. Established in 1971 from property donated by developer Lloyd Denton, the institution serves as a major flood control project. The main park, which spans approximately 75 acres, boasts a range of amenities including a football field, basketball court, skate spot, baseball fields, playscapes, and a disc golf course. A trail that circumnavigates the lake offers a path nearly 2 miles long, with lights provided by a 2014 bond project. The playground areas feature state-of-the-art astroturf and a surrounding fence for increased safety. The Live Oak Community Club House also includes picnic sites equipped with tables and barbecue pits, open to the public on a first come, first served basis. The Oaks Plaza Skate Park, opened in 2016, offers a bi-level plaza style skate path with various skatable features. The lake at Lakeside Park, created in a watershed management project by the San Antonio River Authority, is an ideal spot for picnics, walks, and fishing.
