Serving as a major flood control project, the park features a variety of amenities spread across approximately 75 acres. The Oaks Plaza Skate park, opened in 2016, offers a bi-level plaza style skate path and other skate amenities. The lake in Lakeside Park, created as a watershed management project, is a tranquil spot ideal for picnics, walks, and fishing. Handicap accessible fishing piers and an aerator in the pond help support the diverse wildlife. Paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes are allowed on the lake since 2018. Woodcrest Park, funded by Regent properties, offers walking and jogging trails, shaded picnic tables, and a unique playground with state-of-the-art artificial turf. The park also features a gazebo and seating area, adorned with plantings from the Live Oak Garden Club. Woodcrest Park embodies trust, responsibility, courage, and dedication to the community.
