“After reading the great reviews and high ratings, we had to stop by and try it for ourselves. Spoiler alert...we were not disappointed! First impression was that the restaurant was nice and clean, we were greeted by Jasmine (the owner) and seated in one of the booths, which was quite comfortable compared to the sinking in feeling of many other booths. She brought us complimentary garlic edamame which were delicious and still had a nice little crunch to them (not overcooked). We ordered the Tom Yum Chicken Paitan and the Miso Pork Paitan. Both were hearty and tasted very good, the broth had a nice flavor and the meats were tender. We also ordered the grilled beef over fried rice and I have to say that the fried rice is a must try, tasted very authentic and delicious. I would have preferred the meat in smaller portions so I could mix it in with the rice and of course Jasmine told us they could accommodate that next time. Finally, I ordered the Chicken Katsu bowl over fried rice a couple of days later to-go, mainly because I was craving the fried rice! The katsu had good flavor as well and paired nicely with a side of the pork broth. We're happy that we found a spot near our house that we enjoy, we will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu!”
