Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas - Arlington

"When I got into town I was absolutely exhausted. Unfortunately the Hilton app didn’t allow me to check in without stopping at the front desk so I had to wait for a long time for the girl to get off the phone with somebody else who was staying there and had issues with their room. When I got to my room, the first thing I noticed was the Dust and debris in the hallway from construction that they’re doing, right next to the room that I was staying in. Did end up interfering with my respiratory issues by the time I left. I go in the room and I noticed what appeared to be food splatter all over the walls in the kitchen area. I always check to make sure there are no bedbugs and when I pulled back the blankets, I saw that the fitted sheet doesn’t even fit over the mattress. Kind of trashy, especially for how much I spent to stay here. I was excited that there was a ceiling fan, but there was no way to turn it on, the switch was broken. I tried to turn on the TV, but only a couple of local stations worked. I could not close the shower curtain because the rod was broken. When it was time to eat, I noticed that most of the silverware was missing in the kitchen area. Did I mention the giant cockroach I saw dead in the hallway on my way to breakfast? My second day in the hotel, I noticed it was even harder to breathe than my first day. That’s all right, their construction workers left the door to the room next to me open… The room that’s under construction and causing thick layers of dust absolutely everywhere. I wish I had read the reviews first, but I was in a hurry to get a room. For $150 a night, I feel like I was robbed."

"Stay awake and don’t get on the elevator. Used the elevator once worked fine, got back on with 4 adults and 4 children. 1100 lbs at most, sign said 2500 max so we were well under the max weight. Freaked my 6 yo grand child out when it wouldn’t move or door open. Nothing like toting baby beds and suitcases up to the 3rd floor."

"The only positive attribute of this hotel is the general close location to the Arlington stadiums. Otherwise, it was a terrible experience. Staff was rude and not helpful when asked questions. Common areas were dirty, stains in the carpet and holes in the walls. Rooms were dirty and not serviced at all during the stay. Room fixtures were not secure or falling off the wall. Food quality was not good. I would NEVER recommend this location. They seem to prey upon their closeness to Six Flags and the stadium but it appears to not have updated in many years. As an exclusive Hilton patron, I will never stay at this property again, it is certainly the worst property I’ve ever experienced."

"The elevator either wasn't working or it was super slow. 2 of the 4 windows in our room did not close. Thankfully we were on the 4th floor. There were holes in the closet. There were black hairs all over the pillows. The guy at the front did bring new pillowcases. There was piece of half eaten chocolate under the side table. The water pressure in the shower was awful. However, the front desk was nice and friendly. It was definitely not worth the money I paid."

"Hotel review My girlfriend and I were visiting Dallas for the Giants vs Cowboys game this weekend and thought this hotel would be nice since it’s 1 mile from AT&T stadium. I was wrong. First, this hotel is extremely dated. There needs to be a serious update on this property. The furniture was old. Some of the drawers were unusable because they would fall when opened. The white refrigerator did not work. Neither did the freezer. The hotel in general reeked of old and musty carpet. The tv’s were old and did not have any streaming capabilities. The bedding was thin and scratchy. The pillows were flat. Second, the staff at this hotel was grossly incompetent. We checked in Friday evening around 6:30pm and there was one young woman working at the front desk. At check in, we were told that there was a $15 a night fee for parking. That was not mentioned anywhere on the website or the booking confirmation! After we checked in, we walked a short distance down a hall to find an out of service elevator. The front desk clerk did not mention anything about an out of service elevator. My pregnant girlfriend had to ask how we were supposed to get to the third floor. The front desk clerk gave general directions about the second elevator in the hotel. When we made it to the room, there was only one washcloth in the bathroom so we had to go back down to the front desk and get additional towels. The following day, we needed more towels so I called down to the front desk (on the one working phone in the room) and the front desk clerk stated it was better to come down to get the towels because housekeeping probably wouldn’t remember to bring them up. We went down to get the towels and were told that there were not any small/face towels available. We had to get medium and large towels only. On the morning of our final full day (Sunday), we stopped at the front desk to request housekeeping come by and clean the room while we were out. The front desk clerk informed my girlfriend that our room was already on the list to be serviced. My girlfriend also requested extra towels since we were only given one set previously. Upon our return to the room at 9:30pm (almost 12 hours after we left), the room was not cleaned. There were not any towels left in the room. We went down to the front desk (again) to discuss the issue with the whomever was on staff. There were three clerks at the front desk. One woman on the computer, a man standing next to her, and another woman sitting behind them scrolling on her phone. The only person that acknowledged us was the man. I told him that we requested housekeeping and it had not been done and that we needed towels. None of them acknowledged the wrongdoing of not having housekeeping come to the room, instead the man asked if we still needed towels. I told him that we needed three sets of each and he went to get them. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. EVER!! This was the worst experience I’ve had staying in any hotel and I am a faithful Hilton hotel member. I truly hope this review reaches Hilton corporate so some adjustments can be made."
