Adventure World Playground
Adventure World Playground, located at 7451 Starnes Road in North Richland Hills, Texas, is a unique and inclusive park that was originally built by community volunteers in 1994 and later renovated by the City of North Richland Hills in 2014. This playground is designed to be accessible to children of all abilities, with shaded woodland-themed play structures and a variety of amenities such as a boardwalk, observation area, trails, benches, picnic tables, and restrooms. One of the highlights of Adventure World Playground is the Armadillo sculpture created by artist Joe Barrington, which was relocated to the park in 2022. This hand-formed sculpture, made of welded, recycled steel, is a larger-than-life representation of the iconic Texas creature. Measuring 9 feet long, 5 feet tall, and 5 feet wide, the Armadillo adds a touch of whimsy and artistry to the park.
