"I don't go to Lubys but my family wanted to go. I was very pleasantly surprised. The food and service were good. My wife told me about the luan platter, less food for less money. Found out they even have a senior discount for the luan platter so I got and enjoyed that. I enjoyed a smaller portion chicken fried steak with a choice of brown or white gravy....I tried brown and it was great, it came with 2 sides, I loved the green beans and spinach."
"The almondine fish was soooo dry and tough. It was obviously sitting there for a while. My husband ordered the fried fish, which was also apparent it was sitting under the lamp for a while. In addition, it was saturated in oil. The cornbread was so dry and bland. The food here is terrible!! Although the food was NOT good, what I couldn't get past was the horrible service we received. The only person who was friendly was the cashier. The ppl serving the food was very rude. We completely felt as though we were bothering them. Obviously, they were NOT happy to be there. I will NEVER again go to the location on post oak. Customer care is truly the key to keeping customers. Would've been much happier at whataburger!!!!"
"I've eaten Luby's as long as I can remember. The food is a distinct experience, as it doesn't change. Its comforting that you can still get their comfort food. It's one of the few places you can get a hearty variety of green vegetables and eat a balanced meal. I had baked children & dressing. The bread and baked goods were a pass for me. Not appealing - at all. The manager and our server were SUPER nice!"
"The food was so good I forgot to take pictures. Fried fish, zucchini and squash mix, and fried okra as well as fried fish, mash potatoes with brown gravy, and sweet potatoes. We also had the cucumber mix and yellow cake with chocolate frosting. The service in the line was amazing. Our table service was less than stellar. The atmosphere was mixed but nice. Everything was clean including the restrooms."
"The food quality has decreased significantly. This chicken should have never made it to the line. Wasted my time and money."
