UT Austin Irma Rangel Public Policy Institute (PPI)
β OpenThe UT Austin Irma Rangel Public Policy Institute (PPI) is a research unit within the Department of Government that focuses on public policy issues relevant to the State of Texas. Located at 158 West 21st Street in Austin, Texas, the Institute conducts research on a wide range of topics including education, migration, law enforcement, voting and elections, naturalization and citizenship, ethnic relations, food policy, welfare reform, the military and society, language policy, access to information technology, and economic development. The Institute is particularly interested in issues affecting the growing Latino/Hispanic population in Texas. Graduate students have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy research through collaborative projects with other UT units and faculty members. The Institute also awards research grants to graduate students for doctoral and other research projects.

Texas Space Grant Consortium
β OpenThe Texas Space Grant Consortium, located at 3925 West Braker Lane in Austin, Texas, is a collaborative group of 65 institutions dedicated to advancing space research and technology for the benefit of all Texans. As part of the National Space Grant Program, the Consortium works with 52 other consortia across the country to achieve this goal on a national level. The Consortium offers opportunities for middle and high school students to design interplanetary space missions, educators to learn about NASA sponsorship through the Space Teams Lab, and undergraduate and graduate students to participate in the Mars City Design Competition. Additionally, the Consortium supports K-12 programs that promote STEM education through space-based activities.

Temple Center at Austin College
β OpenThe Temple Center at Austin College is a university located at 618 North Grand Avenue in Sherman, Texas, United States. The Temple Learning Center at Thompson House serves as the "home" for the Austin Teacher Program, thanks to a generous grant from the David E. and Cassie L. Temple Foundation of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The historic home, built in 1895 by Captain John M. Thompson, offers technology and resources for the training of elementary and secondary teachers. Donated to Austin College in 1943 by Hoxie Thompson, the Victorian house features period reception and seminar rooms, modern offices, and state-of-the-art classrooms.
