Mission Historical Museum
● OpenThe Mission Historical Museum, located at 900 Doherty Avenue in Mission, Texas, is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and culture of our community. As a non-profit organization, we offer free admission to all visitors thanks to generous donations. Our museum features both permanent and temporary exhibits, as well as a variety of events and programs for all ages. Through our exhibits, we aim to inspire and educate the citizens of Mission about our rich history. We collect and preserve objects and records of historical significance to the area, providing opportunities for research and learning for both residents and visitors. Since our opening in 2002, we have welcomed over 60,000 visitors, including students, winter travelers, and international guests. Our free programs throughout the year help us to engage with and serve our community, forming a strong bond between the museum and the people we represent.
