The institution provides consultations with fitness trainers, dietitians, genetic counselors, social workers, physician assistants, and clinical psychologists to help survivors lead a healthy lifestyle and reduce their risk of cancer. Most programs are offered at no cost and are available at both the Fort Worth facility and the Mobile Cancer Survivor Clinic.
Patients are advised to arrive 30 minutes early for appointments and bring their insurance card, payment method, medication list, and a list of questions for the doctor. Children under 12 are not allowed on the second floor of the facility. If an appointment needs to be canceled, patients are asked to notify the institution at least 24 hours in advance.
To ensure patients do not run out of medication, the institution offers refill services and requests can be made through the pharmacy. Patients should allow 24 to 48 hours for refill requests to be processed. Completion of FMLA paperwork may take up to 14 days.
