Foster children education gaps high school graduation rates in Austin, Texas

Change 1 is an institution located at 7310 Menchaca Road in Austin, Texas, United States. We provide support services for youth as they age out of foster care, helping them realize their full potential. Our goal is to bridge the gaps in support that young adults ages 15-26 receive as they enter adulthood, empowering them to make meaningful contributions to their communities and build strong families of their own. Foster children often fall behind academically when they move homes, with 50% never graduating high school. Change 1 advocates for these youth and works to strengthen families and communities. We support youth transitioning out of foster care, as well as those who work with them and the community at large.
