Midas

"I took my time to write this review because this was the second time I visited this place and was very dissatisfied this time around. Unlike the first time I went there with the same car last year. I took my X1 BMW here because a notification came up to have it checked. They quoted me $5.4k to fix it, said they needed to get new knock sensors, intake seals, battery replacement and Iridium plugs. I looked up the parts on the internet and they were like $30 bucks so I decided to get a second quote at another shop and guess what? They quoted me $1.3k to fix the issue. The job was done in January and so far I have had no issues with my car, I waited to write the review to make sure I didn’t have follow up issues. I can’t believe how much more expensive they quoted me at Midas, definitely felt they wanted to take advantage. Very disappointed! I see a lot of people are complaining about the same… Edited on 03/05: Right after I posted this review, I received two harassing calls from two different people who claimed worked at Midas (one said he was the district manager) asking me to take down the review in exchange of a couple of oil changes. I obviously refused, now I understand why they have a good rating online, they apparently ask people to take down bad reviews...."

"I had been needing to get my oil change done for awhile. I had used Midas for awhile so wanted to get it done here. I called 20 minutes before they were closing and asked if they could squeeze me in by chance if I got there in 10 minutes. And without hesitation they said ‘no problem’. So, I showed up 10 minutes before close and they took care of me with all smiles! Got to love that!!!"

"Randy and his team are great! Very respectful, PROFESSIONAL and honest! Randy guaranteed to make sure he checked my vehicle for accuracy and not add anything NOT needing to be fixed to my invoice! "Immediately upon walking into Midas on 10240 lake creek parkway in Austin, Texas I was greeted at the front by the OWNER. The owner is named Randy and despite the fact they were very busy he was able squeeze me in at end of the day on a Saturday evening. I have never had this level of service at any business end of day when they were approaching closing. Took 15 minutes! I highly recommend this Midas location at 10240 lake creek parkway in Austin. I will rate these guys 6 STARS out of a possible 5 Stars. Amazing! This is where I will get my oil changed going forward. Many thanks Randy! Terry"
