“From the moment I stepped foot inside the McAllen location I was treated with respect especially for a young female who does not know a lot about cars and gets taken advantage of at most dealerships. Originally took my car to ford for transmission issues on my 2018 ford escape and was quoted $6000 for new transmission or trade in my vehicle. Went to AAMCO and they told me otherwise and were able to fix my car for a few hundred dollars. I’ve had some other issues with my vehicle since then but have been going back to AAMCO and Randy and his team continue to provide excellent customer service and communicate with me about everything. No sugar coating. They are honest and upfront and provide the best deals. Luis at the front desk always answers my calls and updates me on my vehicle in a timely manner and is polite and courteous to not just me but every customer that walks through the door that I see him interact with. Needless to say I will be coming back to this location as needed for all my car needs from now on hopefully not too much. Prices are average or slightly high. But overall very reasonable. They work very hard. Overall, I have been coming here for over a decade. Not everyone hes ever had there does as great work as him. But he has a good eye for hiring workers who are honest overall. So I definitely recommend this place to other people who need things looked at in their vehicles. Downside is sometimes it does take a long time for them to get it done as they take on many projects. But if you have time and are willing. Go here.”

Each time, the young workers have been very respectful, and always made me feel at ease. They do have a lobby where you’re welcome to wait or wait in your vehicle; nonetheless, wait time has never been an issue in my experiences. The staff has also been quite honest, even suggesting delaying the date for an oil change, because it still clean. I’m really pleased with the service and courteous staff!! “I know nothing about cars. My breaks were making a screeching sound at times when I was hitting on the break. Dealership had availability weeks from now so I decided to try a new place for quickness so that the problem wouldn't get worse as I figured I needed new brake pads. Usually when I go into the dealership or a mechanic, I get told I need to change/update a number of things other than what I actually went in for. But when I ask for details, it usually turns out that the “necessary changes” are not even recommended at times. I had the COMPLETE OPPOSITE experience at The Shop. Once I arrived, they immediately took the car back to assess it. The owner came back moments later and walked me to the car to show me the brake pads. He told me they were still in good condition and said it was just dust build up which they cleaned off. No work required at this time. It has been a long time since I found a mechanic shop I could truly trust and I am happy to have found it now. I will definitely be coming back to The Shop once I need any car work done. I highly recommend these mechanics to anyone who needs car work and who are looking for trustworthy and honest people.”
