"All I have to say about the ED is they all lack communication skills. Triage is unprofessional. The staffing sterile techniques is very scary. I’m surprised they haven’t sanctioned this hospital. It’s absolutely horrendous. How unfortunate that the RGV have limited options in hospitals. This hospital is most definitely ran by doctors. ABSENT/UNAVAILABLE doctors that is. Do better."

"Doctor Patricia Fernández has the worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. My grandmother had surgery and when my mother had inquiries about the surgery, this doctor was extremely rude and condescending. The other nurses even commented “she’s always this rude, we’re used to it” Do not trust your family members here, especially with this doctor. Nobody should be spoken to the way she spoke to my mother. Surgical experience is not equivalent to class or manners, clearly."

"I am compelled to share the distressing experience my mother endured at this hospital's emergency room today. The lack of competent medical attention and empathy was utterly disheartening. From the moment we arrived until late in the evening, there were no attending physicians, only nurses. Their inefficiency resulted in my mother being confined to a stretcher for almost 12 hours, waiting for a supposed doctor (nurse practitioner) who never appeared. Despite her severe pain, the medical staff failed to conduct necessary tests or examinations, opting instead to administer an injection before hastily sending her home. DHR hospital, once known for its excellence in healthcare, has regrettably transitioned into an establishment characterized by a lack of urgency, insensitivity, rudeness, and a disconcerting lack of experience among its staff. I implore anyone seeking professional care to reconsider choosing this hospital. The service we received resembled that of a third-world country, a far cry from the standard one would expect from a healthcare provider. Regrettably, I cannot award any stars for the insensible treatment we encountered. In summary, my family's experience at this hospital's emergency room was nothing short of a nightmare. I would like the state evaluators to be able to take action on the matter."

"We’ve only ever been at DHR for L&D and never have any issues. But I for my outpatient procedure it was the worse experience ever! Was told to be at the hospital by 8 fasting after 12. Didn’t get into pre-po until 1 and finally taken into surgery. Almost 2 hours later they left me in recovery the rest of the night with no room to be put in for my second surgery the following day. The nurses keep saying they were just waiting for it to be clean 30 mins later and still waiting with only a liquid diet and fasting after 12 again. This hospital really does t care about their patients and the pain I was in!! Definitely not the place to come"

"This is the worst hospital ever!! Visiting hours end at 8, why would they close the main entrance doors at 8 and make people walk through the street over 500 feet away from their parking. This is the most dangerous and inhumane way of handing they doors closure rules. After most people spend the whole day with their very sick loved ones to have to walk to get to their cat because they close the doors. This is what we are spending. Put money on.. pathetic"
