“This place has been awesome. Our 2 years old daughter always comes home having had a great day and it’s clear that they really care about the kids they care for! They watch our infant son as well (he doesn’t talk much but always seems happy at the end of the day!) and are great about keeping us updated through the day. They also have an app to communicate and send photos so you stay in the loop!”

“I started sending all 3 of my children here during Covid. My smallest baby wasn’t to comfortable originally. They let her older brother and sister comfort her until she got more comfortable. Now her older brother and sister are in school and Baby girl loves going, and my older 2 still ask to go for after school. They are attentive, communication is great and clean. Baby girl runs inside and they are so patient with her. Definitely can’t see going to a new child care facility.”

“Great Little Minds Academy is a wonderful bilingual daycare! I have two sons that attend, both boys started at 3 months when I went back to work. Karen & her lovely teachers have a passion for teaching and it shows. My boys want to go to school, and my three year old knows more Spanish than I do! I am very blessed to know my boys are taken care of and loved everyday! I highly recommend GLMA!! Crystal & Kevin K”

“[Spanish below] Los Amiguitos has been such a beautiful community for our family, and our child is thriving there! We love the director and the teachers. They are all so nurturing and attuned to the children, and they make learning and exploration so fun for them. As parents we also feel cared for in that space. We appreciate all the details that make it feel like a community: opportunities to join on camping trips and nature hikes before even starting school, the parent group chat that the director set up so that we could arrange playdates ahead of time and get to know each other, the opportunities to volunteer at the school so that the children feel invested in their space, the community gatherings and potlucks we do every season, and more. We align with the educational philosophies: nature-immersion (the children spend almost the entire morning outdoors), Spanish-immersion (the teachers only communicate in Spanish with the students, unless the student has a "big emotion", in which case they will switch to English (if that is their native language). The teachers draw from their experience to offer planned curriculum, but they are flexible enough to deviate if that is what the energy of the day is calling for. For example, perhaps the teacher had a different idea for the day, but then the class sees an owl in the woods: then, they may do a whole lesson plan on owls, to be responsive to the environment and in-tune with the natural seasonal shifts. We love that. Our child has learned so much in the time he has been there, and has developed intellectually, socially and emotionally. We really cannot say enough good things about this school! “I have lived here over a year. And so far to date. There is new management. We now have access to the community room. We have celebrations. The dogs are allowed to run free in the back yard. It is so much cleaner. And smells so much nicer. And we have an amazing manager... One who cares about the actual people who live here. Who compassionate of us. Who really listens to what our needs are.... BEST YET: she offers coffee (free) in the office. These are all things that were not available to me when I first moved in, so to say that I'm extremely happy. Is truly an understatement. Thank you Mrs Rose”

“Wow! What an amazing school and staff! My husband and I were recently at the school for a special visit. Upon arrival, we were greated by freindly smiling office staff. Mrs. Booher and Mrs. Nation were busy attending to the needs of students with smiles and hugs. From the front office, we went to different classrooms. The teachers were instructing and attending to the students. We were impressed as the rooms had a calmness and all students were on task. This is an amazing feat this time of the year! Great job teachers! Next, we visited with lunchroom staff. They were busy preparing food for the students. But, stopped and spent a minute smiling and welcoming us. The kindness shown from Mrs. Booher and all the staff was, Welcome, we're glad you're here! Thank all of you for doing a fine job. Thank you for loving your students. Thank you for making our world a better place through educating each child with love and guidance Nikki”
