"I normally have an excellent time here. I have worked with Carol the past two years and was suppose to work with her this year. Unfortunately, she apparently left and I was never informed. I scheduled my appointment with her last year when I did my taxes with her. This year I received numerous appointment confirmations of my appointment at this location for Friday, the 12th. I show up at my time and they say they don’t have me on the schedule anywhere and until I show them my confirmation texts they are able to fit me in at that time. Grateful for that. I was told that Carol no longer worked there. They have no control of that, but wish someone would have informed people scheduled with her when she left. I work with a different tax associate and things started out okay, but once she got to one of the forms things started looking fishy. The numbers were not matching what was on my documents. She informed me she had never done those forms before so after I started asking questions she went and had another associate look at everything. She said everything was okay, but it still didn’t seem right even when talking to someone else on the phone who is a tax accountant. They kept talking to me like I didn’t know anything about what was going on. They finished up and it showed that I owed money, a small amount but still no one wants to owe anything. I pay my fee (which now I regret) and leave. The whole doesn’t sit right so I have another tax accountant look over everything and compare everything and they informed me that not was my federal messed up, but so were the state taxes from the one form. They gave me copies In fact I didn’t owe anything, they owed me! Unfortunately, now an addendum will have to be made and fixed to correct everything. Definitely, will be talking to someone about the fee I paid them to do the taxes."

"We’ve been H&R Block customers for about 5 years now, but in CA. This year, we filed in TX. We had a scheduled appointment. My husband called to confirm the appointment to be done via phone, twice. The morning of, he called again to confirm with her and connected with who we were scheduled with and she never knew about. Not her fault. So instead of an appointment at 2 pm, she says she’ll call us around 3 pm. Exchanged back and forth emails with docs we’ve already sent. Said she would call soon. Come 5:30 pm, no response or call. I look on Google, they close at 5. She ended up telling us why on the last day to finalize our return. How long did it take from start to finish? 3 days. Because the day after our appointment, we still did not get a response as she was out for the day. But the overall experience was not so great from what we’ve had in CA. I don’t think she was paying much attention to the docs we sent. Because she missed a good amount she needed to put on there from our condo in CA and for our home in Fort Worth. We had to make sure she put that amount in there. I wanted to have our fee deducted from our refund like we typically do but she didn’t know how to do it. I emailed her a question and to date, has not responded. Although we got a refund, I don’t feel like everything she did was right. Especially almost forgetting an important figure to enter. Did we get the best refund for what we provided and asked? I honestly don’t think we did. We won’t be utilizing this H&R Block location again."

Refund or not, we understood clearly at all times what was at stake and what is in our best interests. They take great responsibility and accountability in everything they say and do. By doing all of this, they put customers first and they represent America well. Carol was very helpful on all levels to understand our situation. My wife and I were more than satisfied with the results."
