"The managers of this complex are useless, and allow residents to leave their dogs free without leash. Today was the second time dogs tried to attack me. The manager is very rude and disrespectful."
"I have been w/o A/C for 3 days. I put a maintenance request in 2 nights ago after coming home from work from a 14hr shift and my place was hot. It was 85° in my place. I have a 2yo son. We have no where to go and no money for a hotel. The 1st time my a/C went out after being here a week my son and I stayed in a hotel. It's not an option now. I made a courtesy call yesterday morning and left a message with the front office to let me know what they are going to do because I'll be at wrk and to call me by the end of the day. It didn't happen. Got off my 14hr shift last night. I walk into a hot house. We had to open the windows to sleep. It's hot. I woke up put another request in. Called cooperate. I was told to leave a message because everyone is in a meeting. I said no this is Houston Texas, it's hot who can I speak to. This is day 3 of no a/C. We went back and forth. I asked to speak to a higher manager and she said "No, that would be the president and I'm not forwarding you to his phone." I asked why and she said to have a good day and hung up in my face. I searched for the presidents contact and only found his name and it's Jake Slosburg. I called my front office again. Tracy answered and stated she'd put a work order in. Then the phone disconnected. So I'm sitting here with my 2yo son. I'm literally going to go live in my car till or hopefully it gets fixed today. This isn't right. I could have sworn that they should have 24hrs to fix this per the lease. This is hot weather. My son is in just a pamper. This ain't right. Mr. Jake the president wouldn't let his own family go through this. Nobody would. Why do I have to live like this? An get hung up on and no a/C for 3 days? This property is old but the ppl living here matter. This isn't cool. Why? Why Richdale? Why are we the residents getting hung up on by corporate when asking to speak to the higher up and literally told no by corporate and hung up on? Do we have a case brewing here? Help me make sense of this. Does this gotta end up in court? I don't think Mr. Jake knows his employees are treating residents like this. Surely he's not very aware and not caring. I don't believe that. I need some answers please. **UPDATE**I finally got a/c after 2 and a half wks. The entire unit was replaced. I called cooperate about 5 times. Called the front office about 10 times. Nobody got back to me. Barely 3 days ago I got an answer from the front office. 2wks went by with no answer. None. I'm grateful I am a God fearing woman because had it been hot the way it's been? I would have been homeless living in my car. Thank the lord a cold front came in. Been in the 70s and not 110+. They gave me a portable a/c unit. But it reaked of cat urine. It was very dirty too. The most messed up part about this whole thing? Bri in cooperate said "Texas doesn't have any state laws that say no air conditioning is an emergency". An she's right. That's why I say God is good. It has been over 110° in Houston for months. I got a 2yo son. An just out of good faith you can't expedite this? Well, the lord sent a cold front. So, it was tolerable. I just moved in August 14th. I asked if I could be accommodated considering this is the 2nd time and the 1st time I went and stayed in a hotel never asking for anything in return. Not only that. After 3 days of absolutely no response to 2 maintenance requests? I mean, this is crazy. Bri told me that the team will most likely not provide any type accommodations to this mess. I got real loud with her and asked again why I couldn't be accommodated an explained why they should. She said that they will look at everything once the order is complete. This is messed up. I mean thank God for cooler weather. I for real would have been living in my car with my 2yo son had it stayed hot. I can't believe they did this to me. It should be completed today. I'll see when I get home. The cooler weather here saved a lot of things. Let's say that. **UPDATE** I was able to get out of my lease penalty free because I lived my life documenting. For the 3mos I lived there."
"Let's begin. my boyfriend and I lived in these apartments for almost a year. Only our love saved us because life in this place is survival!!!!!!!!! NEVER move here!!!! only if you want to be eaten by 10,000 cockroaches (I am very clean and cleaned our apartment constantly, but this did not help from the cockroaches that crawled out of all the cracks). Left without electricity in the 105 degree summer? Wait 2 days for him to be subdued! The sink is clogged, and the air conditioner is not working. No one will fix it for you in less than a month! And lastly, the woman in the leasing office is rude!!!!! She was never at working place and her lunch break lasted for 5 hours!!! NEVER MOVE HERE! Pay extra 100 for another apartment but save your mental and physical health."
"Speaking on behalf of my friend, their experience living in this apartment complex has been nothing short of disheartening. Regular maintenance and repairs have been severely delayed, causing a great deal of inconvenience. Moreover, they've had to endure treatment that falls far short of basic respect and fairness, which is deeply troubling. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves the living conditions and overall atmosphere for all residents."
"Great place to live and save some money. Friendly staff and well-kept grounds. My wife and I moved to the Waters of Winrock as newlyweds in 2019. Since then, we’ve had two baby girls and raised both as newborns and toddlers in our apartment here. As a young couple and family, we have always felt safe and welcome at this cozy garden apartment complex. The location has been great, with many nearby grocery stores and parks within walking distance. Good neighbors abound here, and though folks are quiet and keep to themselves, they look out for each other in times of need. Did I mention there's a pool that's not often crowded and gets both the sun and the breeze? Whenever we see a staff member, we are always greeted kindly with a smile and a wave. From the maintenance man and the diligent pool guy to the property manager, all the staff take the time to make this place a clean, well-lighted place. The management company cares about preserving the grounds here despite its age. Whether coming home late or leaving for work at 5:00 a.m., I have always felt safe walking to and from my car. Yes, Googler, the Waters of Winrock is not the towering luxe apartments of contemporary fame, chock-full of the well-to-do's glitzy trappings. Yet it is fairly priced, comfortable, and as fine a place as any to lay your weary head at the end of a long day. We’ve never felt like the king and queen of the Galleria here, but we have felt content. Looking back, I'd take this two-story garden apartment with neighbors I know over one of the new, pricey, 'luxe' joints any day. I am so grateful to the staff here for taking care of this property and its tenants over the years; many staff members work very hard to make this place feel like home. Thank you, Tatiana, Tulio, Ermie, Erin, and all the other staff from over the years. We will miss you in the years to come!"
