Tarrant County J J A E P
β OpenTarrant County JJAEP is a Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program located at 3131 Sanguinet Street in Fort Worth, Texas. This program was established in 1996 by the Texas Legislature to provide educational services to youth who have been expelled from public schools for serious school-related law violations. The JJAEP also serves as an alternative site for students who have violated the Student Code of Conduct while in District Alternative Education Programs. Operated by the Tarrant County Juvenile Services department, the JJAEP offers academic, behavioral, therapeutic, and support services to help expelled students succeed in their educational pursuits. The program also provides training and support to families to improve communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and conflict resolution techniques. Students at JJAEP must meet certain requirements and achieve "merit" status in order to transition back to their home school campuses.
