Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston - Memorial Park Area, an IHG Hotel

"Truck stolen!!!Hotel did nothing except show the video to the cops. Oh, and they said it happens there a lot!! Security guard was possibly in on it. Got there and checked in ok. Went out to the event as planned. Came back to our room about 9:00pm to a loud barking dog in the room next door. Went to the front desk, and WE had to change rooms. Took a while to change our room. Then went to bed. Got up at 6:00am the next morning. Ate breakfast. That when my son asked “where is the truck”. I thought he was joking. I walked around the entire parking lot, it was gone. We asked to see the video. They stole it in less than 4 mins!! It had onstar and everything. At 6:00am the security guard left. At 6:03 they pulled up. The disabled the horn and alarm, popped the door open, and drove off at 6:08. OnStar was called and everything. They knew exactly what vehicle they were coming after to have the correct tools prepped. The hotel did not care. After deeper dive into reviews, it happens at this location almost every day!!!"

"If you are on the freeway-side of this hotel, the road noise is unbearable. If you aren't a heavy sleeper, good luck. The sheets had stains on them, and the shower tub was rusty."

"I’ve very ticked off with this hotels management and their lack of help. I’m an active military service member; visiting family during this holiday break. I was charged double for my stay and also charged an extra day for a night I did not request nor stay. I’m not understanding how the hotels charges my card the day of arrival. The charges me again the day after I check out. I was suppose to receive a call back regarding this case and had to call them myself. All I asked for was a refund for the double charge & the extra night I did not stay. I will be contacting management again to receive a refund and resolve this issue. It does not bring me any joy to write this review for public view. All I have requested was a refund."

"Our stay here was "adequate" but would not recommend this location for families. They do not have enough cribs available (if any) - I know these are never "guaranteed" but the lack of them is certainly felt by those who need them - and their Direct TV service was unusable due to outages of whatever kind. The environmental systems in the rooms are dated and loud. Our room had a steady leak from the bathtub faucet also (running not dripping). The staff did a decent job of attempting to address our concerns, changing our room at check in when the first was too humid and musty, and attempting to fix the TV issues in both rooms with minimal success. While not particularly enthusiastic about it I don't have any complaints about staff, or cleanliness for that matter. The facilities here are simply old and it shows. If I could apologize to our "neighbors" who bore with our toddler who had to sleep without a proper bed, I would! I'm sure they also had a negative experience."

"Very POOR customer service at this location. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the staff member on duty lacked the professionalism and courtesy one would expect from a reputable establishment. My attempts to engage with staff members for assistance were met with indifference and a general lack of willingness to help. It was evident that the staff were simply disinterested in catering to the needs of guests and/or undertrained. I would strongly caution anyone considering a visit to this establishment to reconsider their choice. The indifference, lack of responsiveness, and overall poor service quality left a lasting negative impression. This hotel falls short of the standards one would expect from a reputable establishment, and I, for one, will not be returning in the future."
