Big Bend National Park - Loop Camp
● OpenBig Bend National Park - Loop Camp is a primitive campground located along Loop Camp Road in Big Bend National Park, Texas, United States. This campground offers nice views, solitude, and a small flat gravel space to set up camp next to your vehicle. There are two campsites available, both located at the end of a 3.5 mile-long access road along the River Road. These campsites have no shade, but offer great views of Punta de la Sierra, Mule Ears, and the Rio Grande. The river is close by and accessible by walking down a steep bluff, with foot-trail access only. Please note that the River Road is maintained for high clearance vehicles only, and 4-wheel drive may be required, especially after rains when the road can become extremely muddy and impassable. The maximum vehicle length allowed is 25 feet, and a trailer is considered a vehicle for site capacities. It is important to secure belongings to minimize the possibility of theft, and not leave the site unattended for long periods of time. Off-road driving is prohibited, and all vehicles must remain on designated roadways.
