As the Official Zoo of Anderson County, we are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing native wildlife in East Tennessee and beyond. Founded by James Cox, our non-profit zoo provides a forever home for exotic animals rescued from across the US. In 2019, we became a certified wildlife rehabilitation facility by TWRA, allowing us to rescue, rehabilitate, and release a variety of Tennessee wildlife such as raccoons, rabbits, possums, birds, and owls. We also offer educational field trips for local schools to teach students about animals and the environment.
