Amqui Station & Visitors Center
β OpenThe Amqui Station & Visitors Center, located at 303 Madison Station Boulevard in Nashville, Tennessee, is a historic museum housed in the former Amqui Tennessee Passenger Station and Signal Tower. Built in 1910 by the Louisville & Nashville Railroad, the station features classic southern architecture with overhanging eaves and separate waiting rooms for black and white passengers. Once frequented by country music legend Johnny Cash in the 1970s, the station was saved from demolition by Cash in 1979 and has since been restored for use as a museum and educational center. In addition to exhibits on the station's history and significance, the center offers special programs and events throughout the year, including Women's History Month celebrations, Tennessee Maneuvers Reenactments, Veterans Remembrance Day ceremonies, and Living Encampments.
