The Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center, located at 3800 Central Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee, is a stunning addition to the University of Memphis Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music. The grand opening gala raised $725,000 for musical instruments, recording technology, and an instrument lending program. The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, dinner, concert, and after-party with performances by Dionne Warwick and The Bar-Kays. The weekend continued with the inaugural Honey Music Festival, showcasing various ensembles and choirs throughout the center. The event was free to the public and featured activities for children and families.
