Best Western Plus Executive Residency Nashville

"Where do I even start? The person that checked me in wasn't exactly rude, but was very short with me. The entire hotel smells bad, literally every floor has a smell, the lobby had a smell, my room had a smell, even the air from the AC unit smelled weird. The carpets in the main areas are disgustingly stained. Water pipes are exposed out of the walls in the lobby and main hallway. It appeared that only the bare minimum cleaning items were taken care of in my room; towels, bed made, trash taken out. The tile in the entryway had something gross dried on it and looked like it had never been mopped before. There was hair on the bathroom counter. The shower head was covered in rust and build up and looked like it had never been cleaned. There was something sticky dried on the TV remote. There was a clump of hair inside one of the pillow cases on the bed. The drawers in the dresser also looked like they had never been cleaned; I found a couple dead bugs and what looked to be bits of marijuana from a previous guest in there as well. There were stains on the luggage table, stains on the couch, stains on the desk chair. I'm sure the room had never been dusted apart from the counters. The second day I had left the privacy tag on my door so the staff wouldn't go in the room while I was out, however when I got back the privacy tag was nowhere to be found and they had been in the room. The area is sketchy to say the least. Lots of pedestrian traffic hanging around and beggars at the gas stations. On my second night I heard sirens and looked out my window; a person was lying on the balcony at the Best Value Inn out front and cops were doing chest compressions. They ended up carting him away in an ambulance, he wasn't moving. Looked like an OD. This may be the most disgusting hotel I've ever actually stayed in. I almost asked for a refund and went somewhere else, but I got in so late my first night and with the event in town I didn't think I'd be able to find anything. At over $300 for 2 nights I feel robbed. I would honestly sleep in my car before I booked another stay here."

"Terrible hotel, spend the extra money and stay somewhere else. I don't know how there can be any good reviews of this place. The floor we were on smelled like mold the first day and then raw sewage the next day, we were literally getting sick from it. They moved us to a different room and when we asked for compensation for one day we were immediately asked to leave. We were checking out at this point and already had our car loaded anyways. Their fire extinguishers were all out of date, the only working elevator did not have an operating certificate in it and they admitted that it was out of date. This hotel should not even be open."

"We stayed here for a concert and they were charging over $250 per night for one room. Now they are advertised for around a$100 per night. When we got there at first it appeared to be nice but as soon as we got off the floor to our room we were immediately hit with the smell of mold. The next day the entire floor we were on smelled like raw sewage. It took us over an hour to get them to change our rooms. Then it took us a few hours to get moved to the new rooms and settled. We then noticed that all of their fire extinguishers were outdated and had not been checked for over a year. They told us the pool had only been closed for a few weeks but it was clear it had been closed for months. The advertising makes it seem like a new hotel but it is definitely not. The "remodel" they did was terrible. None of the in room refrigerators worked. The breakfast that was included was also terrible. When we checked out we tried to get a refund for the one day that we had to move rooms and the front desk man was yelling at us and accusing us of wanting a free lunch. He also accused us of being racist. They should not even be renting rooms in this hotel. Extremely disappointed."

"For a “2-star” hotel, I’m actually really impressed by the cleanliness, size of the room, and amenities provided. There is even free breakfast in the morning with decent selections (and not just some lame unripe fruits and yogurt). Nowadays, it’s hard to find hotels that would provide free breakfast so it’s striking to see a “2-star” one do so. The beds were comfortable and we were supplied with more than adequate pillows. TV selection was decent as well if that matters to you. I just tend to like to channel surf before going to bed. Overall, I paid a very good price for such a great experience here. Will definitely be back to stay if we find ourselves going through Nashville again."

"I stayed here a couple weekends ago and I was very disappointed. The room fridge was left open and not fully attached when I got in there. There was a mildew smell in the hallway making it smell like wet dog. The toilet seat in my bathroom was not even attached all the way. The tub didn't drain properly and the water pressure was horrible. For the price I was charged, I will definitely not be coming back. The guy who helped check me in was nice and I didn't complain to him as it looked like he was already having a bad day. As for the other things, though, this is unacceptable."
