Backcountry Camp 09 is a campground located on the Anthony Creek Trail in Townsend, Tennessee, United States. This institution offers lodging and park facilities for hikers, horseback riders, and boaters in the wilderness area of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. With nearly 100 designated campsites and 15 shelters available, visitors can enjoy a unique camping experience surrounded by nature. Reservations and permits are required for backcountry camping to prevent overcrowding at campsites. These can be obtained at the Backcountry Office at the Sugarlands Visitor Center or online up to 30 days in advance.
