"Just moved in my mom...Casey and everyone that we met with was great. Nice facility. I will update review after a few weeks. She has been there now for 1.5 years and they do a great job. Mom passed away, and the staff was great and very caring. Great facility and staff. I would highly recommend."

"A very amazing place to be. The staff is amazing and truly care for each and every resident. Residents are very friendly and active. Events are planned out for residents to enjoy along with the staff. Management ensures that all staff and residents are taken care of in anyway needed. Would be my first choice for my family members or even myself to live."

"Initially things were good at Canterfield, however they have deteriorated significantly in the past year. The Grab and Go was closed down and snack food is no longer readily available for residents. Also housekeeping has deteriorated significantly. Mom had an accident on the carpet in their living room. We were assured the feces would be cleaned up that day. Weeks later the carpet had not been cleaned and still has brown spots. The freezer has never been defrosted and can’t be used because it’s one sold block of ice. The last straw was when mom was hospitalized after a serious medical matter and Canterfield would not allow her to move back. I was not able to get straight answers and the parameters regarding her moving back changed daily. I wanted mom and dad to stay together so I reluctantly moved them to a different assisted living facility in Oak Ridge that readily accepted them as residents. If I had know that Canterfield was not going to allow mom back after a hospitalization while other assisted living facilities would allow them back I would not have moved mom and dad to Canterfield. Beware before selecting Canterfield."

"My grandparents moved here from another facility and I’m so glad they did! As many probably know, food is a critical component to the experience. While my grandparents aren’t a huge fan of all the meals, they do appreciate the grab and go option. They also like the choices of things to do! I do wish the staff interacted with the residents a little more though..."

"My mother moved into Canterfield in 2018 because of cognitive issues. We chose Canterfield because of the management staff that we met when looking for a suitable assisted living facility. I was extremely impressed with the obvious compassion and commitment that each staff member has for the facility and its residents. From the executive director to the sales director, activities director, finance director, maintenance director and entire maintenance staff, I have been continually pleased with the care that my mother received. The serving staff that work in the dining room is also excellent - they keep track of each resident’s likes and dislikes and treat them with the utmost respect. The new food manager has also brought an improved selection of meal choices. I HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone that is no longer able to live independently."
