Monell's At the Manor
Monell's At the Manor is a historic institution located at 1400 Murfreesboro Pike in Nashville, Tennessee. This restaurant offers traditional Southern cuisine, with their famous Skillet Fried Chicken served every day of the year. The menu includes a variety of meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, and drinks, all served family-style. Prices do not include the Tennessee sales tax, and children under 3 eat for free. The building, known as Colemere Mansion, was originally built in 1898 by Colonel E.W. Cole, a former Confederate officer. The mansion has a rich history, hosting many distinguished guests and extravagant social events. After being destroyed by fire in 1929, a new mansion was built in the Southern Colonial style, inspired by Arlington Mansion in Natchez, Mississippi. Over the years, the mansion has served as a private men's club and a seafood buffet restaurant, before being leased and renovated by Monell's founder and owner, Michael King.
