"Our first pediatrician failed us, and Dr. Wessels and her staff saved us. I cannot recommend this office enough for your kiddo’s needs: special and non. One of our kiddos, Danny, has a long list of “super powers.” Dr. Wessels, the staff, and a few of the other pediatricians, have advocated WITH our family on a lot of Danny’s many and sometimes unfortunate super powers. He has a rare gene growth, and we couldn’t be happier with all of their help navigating, guiding, and supporting us through decisions we have had to make as a family. Dr. Wessels has accommodated us with 0 issues, even if it was just to get a family member on board for a surgery. All of our kiddos are blessed to have this office care so much about their care, but Danny is especially blessed to have such a great office behind him and us on this crazy adventure. We have had the pleasure of getting to know all of the staff, and they always go above and beyond for our kiddo’s care. We love this office so much, and I couldn’t ask for a better second family for our kiddos and myself."

"Dr. Wessels is amazing! She has taken care of 3 out of 4 of my children’s tongue ties with frenotomies and saved our breastfeeding journeys. The only reason she didn’t do my oldest’s is because my oldest’s was missed by several providers and we didn’t know about Dr. Wessels at the time. She is very knowledgeable, takes time to listen, and has lots of empathy for us. I have encouraged lots of friends to go see her if they are having any issues breastfeeding. She changed my life for sure with giving me comfortable and effective breastfeeding for my children. Thanks Dr. Wessels!!!!"

"I cannot speak highly enough of the care received from Dr. Wessels. We originally came to the office for a tongue tie procedure and we were so impressed that we left our doctor in Dalton. We’re an hour away, but she’s worth the drive."

"I was recommended to Dawn Barnes by another parent with special needs and while she seemed attentive and responsive during our appointment she failed to follow through with making a referral and even though I followed up 2 weeks later after I didn't hear from them I was told to wait a little longer. After 3.5 weeks I follow up again and found out that this referral was never made and instead of taking ownership of the mistake (which I understand that humans make mistakes) she tried to put it on me saying that I decided to see another provider. It was clear in our appointment that it was decided my daughter needed referrals for both. Also, I had requested additional lab work and this request was repeatedly ignored when responding to my messages. After a couple of weeks of getting the run around a nurse finally told me that they were not going to order the additional lab work and could not give me a reason as to why my requests were denied even though they are recommended for the condition we suspect she has. I have never been so dismissed and disrespected by a provider before and with the lack of responsiveness and absence of clear and direct communication I can no longer trust that my daughter will get the care she needs and will be finding a new pediatrician."

"I drove to Dr. Weasels 8 years ago with a 6 month old that I knew was tied and every dr in Ga that I saw said no or wanted to use sedation to laser her lip and tongue. I was in tears with a baby that couldn't poop with a suppository. It was a long 5 hour drive. My tire blew out on the way in the pouring rain. I called and they told me to get there as soon as I could but safely. I was a hot mess. Dr.Wessels comforted and explained the entire issue. 3 days later my girl was nursing like a champ and she started pooping on her own. I will never forget how wonderful she was and how she made me feel like a good mom and that I was right to follow my intuition. I tried really hard to convince my husband to move there."
