During the late 1950s, Chris Beacham worked alongside Rodney Sumpter and Mick Mabbott at Rodney's Nth Avalon surfboard garage workshop. Chris fondly remembers Rodney and Mick as two of the most underrated surfers in Australian surf history, and their expertise in surfboard making was unparalleled. Unfortunately, the industry suffered a great loss when they chose not to continue their journey in this field.
