“This is a wonderful Italian restaurant with a lovely ambience, excellent service and lovely food. We came for our daughter's 18th birthday and the staff were very attentive, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the food was excellent indeed. With us all being vegetarian, there are a great selection of vegetarian starter and main courses. The pastas were delicious, pizzas well cooked and that calzione was beautiful - just be ready for the large quantities which you can just about finish. The staff even gave a free dessert to our birthday daughter and it was really nice too. This rounded off a really nice evening in a lovely Italian restaurant that we can heartily recommend.”

“I was a bit reluctant to try La Tavernetta at first as there were other Italian restaurants around I'd rather try first. However I'm quite pleased my mates and I decided to have lunch here. From the start, staff were very friendly and welcoming. They allowed us in despite turning up 10 minutes earlier than what we originally reserved. Food was amazing, and cooked perfectly. Everything, from starters to mains to pudding was simply made fresh. Prices were a bit high but the food was well worth the money spent. My Tagliatelle with beef and mushroom in creamy sauce left me feeling full for hours. The pizza was big enough that my mate struggled to finish it. Also, their desserts were impeccable. None was too sweet or sugary. The apple crumble was warm and homey and the tira misu was delicate and fluffy. I tried the pistachio gelato and it was flavourful, creamy and had great likeness to the one I had in Florence. Overall, this restaurant deserves my utmost recommendation.”

“Beautiful spot on the high street with an amazing back garden for dining in the sunshine (when it appears). The food was incredible, with my Eggs Blackstone (bacon instead of ham) ordered with extras of halloumi and avocado coming out well presented and tasting delicious! The amount of food was also exceptional, with my entire party coming away stuffed! Also, try the coffee, it's out of this world!”

“Awesome Chinese restaurant run by a great young couple who are so interested in their guests and in talking about the food they are proud to serve. Came here for dinner in early December on the night we'd just moved in to our new home, as it's the closest restaurant we could find. Have already been back twice for takeaways and were disappointed it was closed over Christmas (though happy for the family to have some time off together!). Looking forward to being a regular here through 2023, absolutely recommended Oriental Nights to everyone who likes Chinese food. And also to those who think they don't like Chinese food, as the dishes here will change your mind: the food is light, fresh and non greasy. Delicious!”

“A fantastic inconspicuous little restaurant hidden in a quiet corner of Pound Tree Road, just a stone's throw from the busy high street. Inside is quite compact and narrow with limited tables. However there is something charming about being in a small space and seeing the food prepared in the kitchen just a few feet away. Food was lovely, authentic and reminiscent of the dishes I had during my visit to Thailand. My Pad See Ew was delicious as the noodles were cooked perfectly. My partner had the Pad Phrik Khing (chicken stir fried in red curry paste) which was flavourful owing to the lime leaves. Although Thai cuisine is laden with chili, none of the food was overtly spicy. It took a bit of time for the food to come out as kitchen was also loaded with take away orders but when it did, everything was served fresh, piping hot and with a smile. This is quality Thai food that I could safely say I highly recommend. .”

The price was competitive, they were incredibly well packaged (glass bottles), they were delivered on time and communication was excellent throughout the order and delivery process. “Delicious! Had the poke bowl and the fish was flavoured nicely and was fresh. Very generous too! Sauce to go with the vegetables was zesty and refreshing. Decent portion of rice, and to be honest probably more fish than rice which makes the money worth it. Takoyaki was excellent too! (Had as takeaway and food was still hot and fresh despite the journey time).”
