"Thanks to Furman University, free summertime concerts here are a part of our summertime traditions. For info, search "Furman Music by the Lake Concert Series" and plan to experience these wonderful events. You don't need to sit in the amphitheater to hear the music as it is broadcast through the Bell Tower all around the lake. We take our children and let them play by the lake while we sit and listen. It's lovely. As for the Amphitheater, it is not usually occupied during the week and is a great place to go and let your kids play. We usually end our walks around the lake here. It's a good picnic spot and has bathrooms and parking close by."
