"Came to look at an apt here last week. I was shown a “mostly” ADA compliant apt. The stove was too high for the counter and the switch for the lights over the counter were unreachable. The bathroom which DID have bars in the tub and a raised seat, had no bars near the toilet or on the outside of the tub in order to get in and out. When I showed them an official letter from my doctor (and I walk with a cane), for a reasonable accommodation of a bar to help me step in and out of the tub, I was told it would take up to 30 days to put it in. Even though I told them I wouldn’t be able to use the tub until it was in, there was no sympathy or compassion on the managements part. I was told I would have to rent the apt then wait for corporate to OK the bar. When asked if they (the management) could possibly deny it, I was told ... maybe. Just so everyone understands… we are talking about a 15.00 (fifteen dollar) small stainless steel bar from Lowes which the maintenance people can easily put it because it goes on the outside wall. Not on the tile. I have seen many reviews here of bugs and mismanagement but decided to look anyway. A mistake on my part. I would certainly not recommend this place to anyone, esp if you need help with an accommodation."
